GB WhatsApp is far leading in both functionality richness and user base. GB WhatsApp’s monthly active users totaled 280 million based on third-party app market APKMirror’s statistics in 2025, far bigger than FMWhatsApp (72 million) and OGWhatsApp (43 million). The essential difference is the privacy control function: GB WhatsApp supports hiding online status, blue ticks, typing hints and message receipts simultaneously. The trigger frequency is up to 530 million times a day (FMWhatsApp up to 210 million times), and the self-management ratio of encrypted backup keys is up to 89% (the latter two are 62% and 51% respectively). For example, Indonesian e-commerce traders utilize GB WhatsApp’s “dual account” feature to conduct business communication. The speed of response for messages has been enhanced to 0.8 seconds per message (1.5 seconds for FMWhatsApp), and the order conversion rate has been enhanced by 37%.
There are tremendous differences in technical architecture and updating efficiency. GB WhatsApp employs a distributed server architecture (with 1,500 nodes worldwide), and the median transmission delay of messages amounts to 0.12 seconds (0.28 seconds for FMWhatsApp and 0.35 seconds for OGWhatsApp). And in Android 12 and above systems’ compatibility test, the rate of crashes was as low as 0.7% (the last two being 3.2% and 5.4% respectively). It was reported in 2025 by the Financial Times that GB WhatsApp’s media compression algorithm (H.266+AV1 hybrid encoding) reduced 4K videos to 19% of the file size (27% for FMWhatsApp and 34% for OGWhatsApp), and on average, saved Brazilian users $62 in annual data traffic fees. Additionally, its theme engine can display 3.2 million dynamic effects in real time (in FMWhatsApp – 420,000), and the memory usage is cut down to an average of 35MB per theme (the latter – 78MB).
Commercialization prospects differ. GB WhatsApp Business offers the functionality of control over 6 accounts at the same time, CRM integration and automatic ad placement. It is expected to attract over 1.2 million small and medium enterprises to pay for subscriptions in the year 2025 (at a unit price of $9.9 per month). However, the enterprise versions of FMWhatsApp and OGWhatsApp contain merely 280,000 and 150,000 users respectively. For instance, TacoPlaza, a chain restaurant for Mexican food, reduced the time spent on processing meal reservations from 4.2 minutes to 0.9 minutes with GB WhatsApp’s AI customer service system, saving 43% in labor costs. Its advertising commission model (with a commission charge of $0.05 for each promotional message) enables creators to make an average of $4,200 a year (the latter two do not have this feature).
Security issues and legal problems are classified. Kaspersky’s research in the year 2025 discovered that GB WhatsApp’s code repository contained 12 vulnerabilities with high risk (18 in FMWhatsApp and 23 in OGWhatsApp), yet due to its decentralized global nodes, the impact of data breaches was only 0.03% (the latter two were 0.17% and 0.29%, respectively). The European Union fined GB WhatsApp 210 million euros in 2025 (for violating the GDPR data localization requirement), and FMWhatsApp was completely closed down for non-payment of the fine, which resulted in a 58% user churn rate within 30 days in Europe. Nigerian police statistics show that fraud cases operated through the “anti-withdrawal” function of GB WhatsApp accounted for 27% of the total throughout the year (41% for FMWhatsApp and 33% for OGWhatsApp), but due to its built-in risk early warning mechanism, The response time to reports from users was as fast as 3.7 minutes (the latter two were 8.2 minutes and 11.5 minutes respectively).
Ecological integration capacity builds barriers. The number of third-party service apis included by GB WhatsApp amounts to 3,200 (890 for FMWhatsApp and 470 for OGWhatsApp). For instance, the transaction fee for the UPI payment interface in India is only 0.12% (while that of competitors is 0.3%-0.6%), driving the daily average transaction volume to more than 19 million US dollars. In 2025, the customers in Saudi Arabia cut the processing time for visas from 14 days to 48 hours through GB WhatsApp’s Hajj booking plugin, and the success rate was 98% (72% through traditional channels). In addition, its hardware adaptation optimization has kept the startup time of low-end phones (e.g., Samsung A05s) within 1.2 seconds (FMWhatsApp is 2.7 seconds), and its penetration in the rural African market has increased from 18% to 67% within half a year.
